Flamed mahogany cylinder desk, opening with a cylinder revealing a shelf covered in gilded leather with small iron and several small drawers. The lower register has three drawers in the belt and two side boxes, one of which conceals a secret compartment. The piece of furniture rests on four tapered and fluted legs, highlighted with gilded bronze rings. The top is surmounted by white veined marble surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. Locks, oval keyholes and original keys. It bears the stamp F. REIZELL, Parisian cabinetmaker active during the reign of Louis XVI, a guarantee of authenticity and quality.
