Chinese Camphor Tree Wedding Chest
Chinese wedding chest made of camphor wood or camphor tree. It is richly carved on all sides and on the top of the tray. Carved with very detailed carvings of scenes from daily life. It opens onto a lined interior and decorated with a wooden box part later than the chest. The handle for opening the top of the chest is made of chiseled and damask gilded brass.
