The sides are delicately openworked and decorated with arabesques and foliage on a red background, offering a beautiful contrast. The lid features an oval medallion in Limoges porcelain, hand-painted, illustrating a gallant scene in the 18th century style, representing a romantic couple. The surround is beautifully crafted in gilded bronze, decorated with floral motifs and scrolls in relief. Has its original key.
