Antique Citrine And Yellow Gold Brooch

Oval-shaped, antique brooch adorned on its top with a large faceted oval citrine held in place with numerous prongs, beaded and decorated with grainetis motifs.
The surrounding decoration is openwork and formed by alternating domed motifs in the shape of hearts, bordered by a grainetis and small domes set with the same type of decoration.
At the back of the antique brooch, a pin with a safety pump is present.

Main material: yellow gold, 750 thousandths, 18 carats
Proportions: Length: approximately 4 cm, width: approximately 3 cm, thickness: approximately 11.5 mm.
Net weight: approximately 11.2 g.
Antique jewel - French work from the beginning of the 19th century for the motif, later transformed into a brooch.
Our opinion: Late mounted as a citrine brooch, this antique motif adorned with grainetis was probably originally a cuff bracelet clasp making up an important set.
