"Icon Sculpture Russia / Karelia Circa 1900 - 1915 Kizhi Pogost Church "
Kizhi Pogost is the most important church on Kizhi Island on Lake Onega.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To the left of the architectural ensemble is the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin Mary, in the center is the Church of the Transfiguration, and to the right is the bell tower.
The architectural ensemble is carved from linden wood and, according to a church historian, was colored to reflect the original appearance of the church in the 18th century.
Object dimensions: Height 47 cm, Width 73 cm, Depth 8 cm. Work of the Kizhi Pogost Monastery, dating from around 1900.
