Flat Desk In Rosewood Veneer, Louis XVI Period, Circa 1785.
Flat desk in rosewood veneer, marquetry with fillets, opening with three drawers in the belt, two side shelves, tapered legs. This desk is supported by four spindle legs with rudentée fluting with trompe l'oeil marquetry. The top is covered in fawn leather with a Greek-style decoration around the edges with small irons. Beautiful trim of chiseled and gilded bronzes with locks and sabots. Louis XVI period, Late 18th century H x W x D = 76 x 114 x 63 cm Perfect condition, restored in our workshop, beautiful buffer varnish, with its original keys, leather changed.
