Just as we speak of the Barbizon School or the Pont-Aven School, we are perfectly justified in speaking of the Murol(s) School. Indeed, all the components of a School are present there: a leading artist, a unity of time, a unity of place, a technique. The Murols School reached its peak between 1910 and 1935, which corresponds to the period of Charreton's active presence. Its particularity is found in the winter subjects treated with the impressionist technique. And around 1920, a new movement appeared in parallel, readily dealing with rural life. Generally, the painters of the Murol school worked together on the motif. This is why we can observe and compare their works today and thus appreciate the specificities of each.
