"Pair Of Barbedienne Candelabras In Bronze And Cloisonné Enamel, 19th Century"
Superb pair of gilt bronze candelabras, resting on circular bases adorned with rich polychrome cloisonné enamel decorations. The slender shafts are punctuated by balls and domes finely decorated with stylized floral and scroll motifs in vibrant colors. Each piece is carefully engraved with the BARBEDIENNE signature, attesting to the quality and prestige of the famous Parisian house founded by Ferdinand Barbedienne, one of the greatest bronze makers of the 19th century. These candelabras, dating from the end of the 19th century (circa 1880–1900), bear witness to the refined taste of the period for oriental influences and precious decorative techniques. Despite visible losses to the gilding, the set retains all its charm and rarity, constituting a beautiful collector's item. Height: 22 cm
