Very rare gold striking watch from the Maison Vacheron et Constantin from the 1860s.
Enamel dial, with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Breguet hands in gilded brass.
Movement in gilded brass, with cylinder escapement, and striking on demand for the hours and quarters by action on the slide located at 4 o'clock.
(probably in the first applications of the slide striking, because the watches of this period with key, practically always have a pusher on the pendant to activate the striking)
Gold case with barley grain guilloché, like new.
