Very Rare Louis XIV Onion With A Gilded Brass Needle, By (martinot In Paris), Circa 1690
Superb Louis XIV period onion in gilt brass. Signed Martinot in Paris, circa 1690.
Enamel dial, with Roman numerals, steel hands. Slight chip between 4 and 5 o'clock. (very easily restored) but everything is original.
Reverse winding on the central square.
Movement in gilt brass, with verge escapement, chain and fusee.
Magnificent and very rare silver cock decorated with flowers, foliage and a helmeted figure. Very beautiful case in gilt brass, engraved with flowers, foliage and foliage.
Very good condition, revised.
