Art Nouveau Pedestal Table From The Nancy School

Cast iron pedestal table from the Art Nouveau period, entirely original, to be compared to the Nancy school in France around 1900. The base is made up of two cast iron pieces: the tripod base topped by the shaft, both beautifully decorated with floral motifs, in this case Sagittarius leaves, very characteristic of this period. The base and the shaft are assembled by a central vertical rod which also maintains the top attachment system at the upper base. The latter being in mauve opaline and circled with zinc. This base cannot be attributed to a particular foundry, however the inscriptions CHARLIONNAIS PANASSIER TOULOUSE-LYON (DEPOSE) allow us to know the distributor of this bar furniture. Note that the foot has been repainted in a beautiful light green, that it is in perfect condition as well as the opaline of the top. Some wear and tear on the zinc.
