"Anton Van Tijn (1863-1943), Landscape With Cows, Oil On Canvas, Signed, 61x46cm, Unframed"
Antoine Vanteyne, watercolorist, painter, engraver, illustrator, and draftsman, divided his time between Paris and The Hague. Initially based in a studio at the foot of the Butte Montmartre, at 140 rue Lamarck, he participated in the prestigious Salon des Indépendants in 1895, 1896, and 1897. His engraved work, particularly devoted to Paris, is extremely rich; many plates are now preserved at the Musée Carnavalet – Histoire de Paris.
