JAPAN - Edo period (1603 - 1868). Complete samurai armor. KABUTO (helmet) in wrought iron with 180 slats. THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) in gilded copper with seven steps, the first level chiseled with foliage. SHIKORO (neck cover) with three steps in black lacquered iron and blue and white silk braiding. MABI SA SHI (the visor) in wrought iron, covered with deerskin stamped with geometric patterns. FUKIGAESHI (the fins) in black lacquered iron decorated with the mon of the Asakura clan. MAETATE in carved, gilded and red lacquered wood depicting a dragon (slight losses to the right paw), the whiskers in metal. MEMPO (samurai half-mask) in black lacquered wrought iron, pronounced chin, mobile nose, pierced nostrils, visible teeth and gilded, sweat hole under the chin. YODARE-KAKE (gorget) with three degrees in black lacquered wrought iron and blue and orange silk braiding. DO (breastplate) with seven lamellas in wrought iron and blue silk braiding. SODE (pauldrons) with six degrees in black lacquered metal and light blue silk braiding. KOTE (arm protectors) in chainmail and lacquered iron plates. KUSAZURI (skirt) and HAIDATE (cuissards) with five rows in lacquered metal and blue silk braiding. SUNEATE (greaves) in lacquered iron plates and blue silk braiding. Sold with a double GUSOKU BITSU (transport chests) in wood (slight lacks) and metal reinforcements and with its presentation stand. Dimensions of the armor in seated position: 146 x 96 x 58 cm.
