Born in Civitavecchia, Italy, in 1941, he has lived in Paris since childhood. He trained early on in lost-wax casting thanks to his father, Mario Busato-Strauss, himself a renowned sculptor-caster. His work is recognized in modern and contemporary art circles. He often uses bronzes with a brown patina, plays on movement, stylized characters, suspended figures, masks, etc. His works are regularly auctioned: small bronzes, masks, figures, etc.
