Agate and silver gilt pen holder (boar's head hallmark) finely chiseled with plant arabesques, signed Mallat* Patented, 19th century. This pen holder is in good condition, beautiful quality. The nib is retractable, signed see photos. Please note: a small defect in the agate, light scratches and wear of time, see photos. * Mallat is a brand founded by Jean Benoit Mallat in 1842. Often known for its erasers, the company specialized in writing instruments, nibs, nib holders, fountain pens and of course erasers.
