"Large Painting By Daliphard"
Edouard Daliphard (1833-1877) He first studied law in Paris, and began working as a notary's clerk in Rouen. His taste for drawing led him away from this path and to the Rouen School of Fine Arts in the studio of Gustave Morin. Around 1859, he left Rouen and went to the Netherlands and Belgium. He studied at the schools of Antwerp, The Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and at the Brussels Academy in the studio of Joseph Quinaux. There he perfected his representation of landscape subjects. Édouard Daliphard spent a long time in the Orient, from where he brought back numerous studies and watercolors. He is buried in the monumental cemetery of Rouen. Daliphard 1861 This painting has been cleaned and re-varnished by our workshop, which gives it great clarity and a beautiful impression of depth The frame, in gilded stucco, has also been restored by our workshop to now highlight this painting.
