Publication: Here is France! A Look at French Painting, Works 1850-1950, a cura di B. Bellini, Bergamo, Galleria d'Arte Due Bi, 2007, p.30

There is no reliable data regarding its formation; he was a professor at the Ecole-des-Beaux-Arts in Brest from 1931 to 1943.
During the German occupation he took refuge in Limoges where he settled for a certain period. In 1973 and 1976 a gallery in this city dedicated two exhibitions to him.
At first he mainly painted Breton landscapes, later he settled in the Limousine and painted the places until his death.
His painting is well structured, if in some works there are references that can be connected to the Ecole de Barbizon, others are instead of a clear post-impressionist matrix, sometimes adopting the pointillist technique.

The painting is in very good condition.
