Empire And Restoration Cavalier Diploma Set

Collection of diplomas and papers belonging to a cavalryman during the Revolution, Empire and Restoration periods. It contains his appointment as captain in the 6th Light Horse Regiment, his Legion of Honour diploma under the First Restoration as captain of the Berry Regiment, several service records, campaigns, actions and injuries in the 9th Regiment of Horse Chasseurs (enlisted in 1792 in the 4th Battalion of the Côte-d'Or, then transferred to the 9th Regiment of Horse Chasseurs in Year II). He fought in the campaigns of 1793, Years II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, then 1806, 1807, 1808, 1809 and 1812. Member of the Legion of Honour in 1812, he suffered several injuries in action. He joined the Berry regiment in 1814, then the 6th lancers in 1815. It also contains several notarial acts.
