"Louis XVI Period Sofa Bench"

Sofa/bench with basket handle back topped with two bread apples in molded, carved wood, re-lacquered in cream and re-champi gray with ribbon rushes and fleurons decoration, resting on seven tapered, fluted, and rudenté legs. Stamped Antoine BONNEMAIN, carpenter received master on July 18, 1753. Restored bench and recently upholstered with a fabric from the Colefax house.
