Set of thirty majolica barbotine plates – 28 plates measuring 19 cm in diameter, 2 larger plates measuring 30 cm in diameter – marked with the Galvani rooster.
Each piece features, at its center, a plane tree leaf in relief in three pastel colors: 2 in powder pink, 10 in mimosa yellow, and 18 in sage green.
The Galvani Manufactory is one of the oldest and most prestigious ceramic manufacturers, founded in 1811 in Pordenone by lawyer Giuseppe Galvani. It played a central role in the development of utilitarian ceramics in northern Italy. The Galvani manufactory ceased production in the 1970s.
