"Portrait On Eglomisé Glass, 18th Century"
Verre églomisé is a technique known since antiquity which consists of painting or drawing with a drypoint on the interior surface of a glass. This 18th century portrait represents a nobleman in armor wearing a wig to demonstrate his social rank. He presents with his left hand what appears to be his helmet and we can see his sword. Size of glass 26.5 cm wide and 34 cm high
