"Louis XVI Period "aux Amours" Candlesticks "
Pair of 18th century double patinated bronze "cupid" candlesticks. Resting on four ball feet, the circular Carrara marble base is decorated with a row of pearls. A chiseled gilt bronze pedestal houses a burnished cherub supporting a fire pot from which the two S-shaped light arms terminated by finely chiseled cups and sockets escape. 18th century Louis XVI style.
