Natsume, tea caddy, in black lacquered wood with gold and silver makie lacquer decoration of ginko leaves. Beautiful details of squares inlaid with gold (kirigane) and mother-of-pearl (raden). Japan, 1980s, 7.9 x 5.7 cm. Artist: Goro Hirano, known under the artist name Keizan. Lacquer artist from Wajima who won numerous awards including that of the famous Nitten exhibition in 1978 and 1979. With its original box signed by the artist.
