Mixed media on paper dated 1984. In her tree bark series. Marie-Elisabeth Collet studied art at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Nice, while the protagonists of Supports-Surfaces were beginning to emerge. Then, she "went up" to Paris to the Institut des Carrières Artistiques (1965-1967). An internship at the Fondation Maeght in Saint Paul de Vence – very important at the time – allowed her to understand the world of 20th century art in its different dimensions (1966). She then took a first studio in Nice. Beautiful frame. Sheet size 43x51cm.
