Napoleon III's Happy Day Office
Bonheur du jour desk in blackened wood inlaid with brass and mother-of-pearl. The decor represents flower vases, foliage and arabesques as well as brass threads. Gilded bronzes enrich this black piece of furniture as well as a gilded bronze gallery on the black marble top. A central door reveals a storage area with a shelf, two small drawers and a large drawer complete the upper part. A writing tablet covered in red leather decorated with a wheel allows this piece of furniture to be used as a small desk. Napoleon III period.
