Another painting depicting a nude woman entitled "Martiniquaise" was sold for 4,200 euros excluding auction fees (Ader auction, Paris, 06/08/2013, no. 198, 66 x 55 cm). This painting is dated 1931, which allows us to put forward a date circa 1930 for our painting. It represents Aïcha, a woman famous for having posed for many artists of the Paris school (Moïse Kisling (1925), Matisse (1917), Kees Van Dongen (1917), Félix Vallotton (1922)).
