Arnolfo di Cambio is an Italian company founded in 1960 in Tuscany, specializing in the production of designer objects for the table and the home. Known for its collaborations with major international designers, the brand quickly acquired an important place in Italian design of the 1960s and 1970s, combining craftsmanship and modern experimentation. The “Square” service, produced in the 1970s by Laveno Ravelli for Arnolfo di Cambio and designed by Japanese designer Makio Hasuike, is an icon of table design of the time. Made of black and white glazed ceramic, it is distinguished by its geometric square and rectangular shapes, its modularity, and its black/white contrast — typical of Hasuike’s minimalist aesthetic. This service perfectly illustrates the spirit of Italian design of the seventies: formal rigor, the search for functionality, and a sculptural sense of everyday objects.Biography – Makio Hasuike (b. 1938, Tokyo)
Makio Hasuike has lived and worked in Italy since the 1960s. In 1968, he founded his own design studio, Makio Hasuike & Co., in Milan, which quickly became an international reference in industrial, graphic, and strategic design.Packaging and Delivery Costs
