"Ikaros Rhodes, Ceramic Coffee Table, Second Half Of The 20th Century"
Exceptional artist's table, from the prestigious IKAROS RHODES manufacturer, renowned for having raised the art of decorative ceramics to the highest level in the 20th century. This model, now highly sought after by collectors and specialist decorators, combines artisanal quality, symbolic strength and timeless Mediterranean aesthetics. A vibrantly historical decor. The top, composed of 15 glazed earthenware tiles, offers a sumptuous hand-painted decoration: a stylized white deer, the historical emblem of the island of Rhodes, sits at the center of a floral profusion in turquoise, cobalt and white, all on an intense brick red background. This ornamental language, halfway between Ottoman influences and Byzantine art, perfectly illustrates the refinement of IKAROS productions in the 1950s–1970s. The IKAROS RHODES signature, clearly visible at the bottom right, attests to the authenticity of the piece. Structure & dimensions: • Structure: black wrought iron, sober and stable, ideal for indoor and outdoor use. • Table dimensions: H 48.5 cm × W 77 cm × L46.8 cm. A collector's item. Tables signed IKAROS RHODES are extremely rare on the market. Few examples have survived the decades in such remarkable condition. This piece embodies both the soul of ancestral Mediterranean craftsmanship and the decorative design of the great residences of southern Europe. Hand delivery possible depending on the location. Not to be missed: a utilitarian and authentic work of art, for enlightened amateurs, demanding decorators or passionate collectors.
