"[rare] Fez Stitch Embroidery, Piece Of Fabric, Morocco 1900 - 1920."
Beautiful piece of fabric made in Morocco. The embroidery stitch used is called "Point de Fez or Tarz El Ghorza", its particularity lies in the fact that it is impossible to distinguish the reverse from the right side. It is an artistic feat that requires great technical mastery. The embroidery was made using a silk thread of a splendid purple color. This piece of fabric was made between 1900 and 1920. Please note: this fabric is in good general condition. Some stains to deplore, particularly in blue on the border. Despite everything, the decorative effect remains very interesting and the piece is a good size. Please look carefully at the photos.
