[rare] Fez Stitch Embroidery, Cushion Cover, Morocco 1900 – 1920.

Beautiful cushion cover made in Morocco. The embroidery stitch used is called "Point de Fez or Tarz El Ghorza", its particularity lies in the fact that it is impossible to distinguish the reverse from the front. This is an artistic feat that requires great technical mastery. The embroidery was done using a silk thread, purplish blue color. This cushion cover was made between 1900 and 1920. Please note: this cushion cover is in good general condition / used condition. The color is a little faded, the embroidery on this fabric must have been mauve originally. There are a few small holes.
