Iron And Wood Birdcage, 19th Century
A 19th-century birdcage combining a wooden frame with iron bars. Its design is distinguished by an evolving structure with a square base, an elevation that transitions to an octagon, then ends in a hemispherical dome topped with a sculpted summit element and a hanging hook. The four corner trompes (rectangular lateral extensions) punctuate the silhouette and accentuate the architectural appearance. The iron bars, arranged in regular arches, form a light, openwork frame.
