"La Lavandière Sèvres Biscuit, 19th Century "
Biscuit subject representing a small washerwoman kneeling with her bundle of linen and soap at her side, she is holding the raised bat. This subject is a production of the Manufacture de Sèvres, not marked here. Paris was able to take up this model, however our copy has the exact dimensions of the Sèvres subject, which attests that it is not an overmolding. We know of another identical subject preserved in the white room of the Seine et Marne prefecture, inventory number IVR1120057700064XA, with the same dimensions: Height 15cm, Length 14.5cm, Width 11.5cm. Work from the 19th century period.
