This oil on canvas is from the 19th century, it is a remake of the painting "Bull rubbing against a tree" by Jean Raymond Brascassat presented at the Paris Salon in 1835, there is a name in the signature but we cannot read it. This work was executed with great mastery, great precision. Jacques Raymond Brascassat, born Jacques Brascassat on August 30, 1804 in Bordeaux and died in Paris on February 28, 1867, is a French painter and etcher. Note rubbing on the painting as well as cracks, small mushrooms. The stuccoed gilt frame is damaged in many places. The work is sold uncleaned, unrestored.
