Carved wooden tonkotsu tobacco box, dark reddish-brown. High-relief decoration with a central flower (chrysanthemum/sun motif) framed by swirling scrolls suggesting waves. Soft-cornered rectangular body; flat lid retained by the suspension cord through two small holes. Beautiful patina.
