Biography:
Émile Auguste Wéry, born in Reims on September 3, 1868 and died in Gressy on May 2, 1935, is a French painter.
He is the son of Charles Wéry, engraver and chaser, and Jeanne Marie Mennesson.
He was a pupil of Léon Bonnat, Jules Lefebvre and François Flameng.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes français in Paris, winning several medals.
Silver medal at the 1900 . Universal Exhibition, knight of the Legion of Honor in 1906. He also exhibited at the Salon des Beaux Arts in Paris, at the Salon des Décorateurs.
Friend of Matisse, at the beginning, he did not follow the same evolution. His style is similar to that of the Impressionists.
Listed in the Bénézit and the dictionary of the small masters of painting by Schurr.
