Important painting representing a gallant scene in the taste of the 18th century, featuring five characters in front of an outdoor fountain. This beautiful French School from the end of the 19th century is sold with a beautiful re-lacquered Napoleon III frame, decorated at the top with a pretty pediment. The whole is decorated with foliage, bay leaves, torch, quiver of arrows, garlands of roses. It is signed lower right, signature to be deciphered. A second painting by the same artist and of identical format with the same frame is for sale on our gallery, (see last photo).
