Very beautiful monstrance in gilded bronze set with cut and faceted ruby-colored crystals in the neo-Gothic style, from the Napoleon III period, 19th century.
In the Christian religion, rubies are considered to represent the blood of Christ.
Four-lobed base with a row of foliage and pearls.
These motifs are repeated in the knot as well as in the radiating bezel, surmounted by a cross.
