" Raymond Crétot-duval (1895-1986) - Everything Is Green"
- Gouache on cardboard.- Raymond Cretot-Duval is a French painter born in 1895 and died in 1986. Originally from Bordeaux, he is mainly known for his landscapes of North Africa, where he uses a vibrant color palette and a style close to Impressionism. After training at the Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, he began his artistic career by exhibiting in regional salons. He quickly gained recognition and was invited to participate in national competitions, notably at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne. During his travels in North Africa, he developed a unique and recognizable pictorial language. His paintings depict scenes from everyday life – with particular attention paid to markets and busy streets – as well as natural landscapes, in which he combines the dynamism of light with the chromatic richness of his personal style. - Dimensions of the unframed image: 55 x 45 cm / 75 x 65 cm, magnificent classical-style frame.
