Sold as is, small tears on the edge, stains and discolorations visible on the photos which are faithful. Hand screens, intended to protect against the heat of fireplaces, were considered as small objects, and thrown into the fire when faded. Few have reached us. This one, particularly delicious for its subject, is sold as a "document", as is often the case.
