A ball for gilding or silvering pills made of turned wood (boxwood?), on a pedestal, dating from the 19th century. This pharmaceutical instrument was intended to improve the appearance of pills, which were generally blackish. Placed inside with gold or silver leaves, they were covered with them by a rotating movement. A notch in the lid allows it to be closed. A slit is visible in the lower part. Remains of silver plating inside. Dimensions: height 13 cm.
