A series of nine engravings on the theme of spanking. Excerpts from a work published in 1927 in the Collection des orties blanches. Signed Louis Malteste. Lithographer, illustrator, and draftsman, born in 1862 in Chartres. He worked for the magazine L'Illustration on various subjects. But it is especially his abundant work on spanking that attracts attention. Louis Malteste also wrote several texts under the pseudonym Jacques d'Icy, including "Qui aime bien" and "Châtie bien" or La Flagellation dans la vie moderne.
