Japanese Imperial Officer's Saber Kyu Gunto Model 1875
Japanese sword KYU GUNTO, model 1875 for officers of the Imperial Japanese Army. Model created from 1875 to equip officers. This sword is influenced by Western swords, but nevertheless retains a Japanese style with a traditional forged blade and a long handle covered with ray skin, allowing it to be held with 2 hands like a Katana. The mounts are in gilded and chiseled bronze, the scabbard is in chromed steel. The sword is equipped with its field strap. Good condition, some traces of oxidation on the scabbard. Length 90 cm
