According to the beautiful book by Jacqueline Bellanger, (whom I was lucky enough to meet often, expert at Drouot 50 years ago,) it is a wine or oil measure, 17-18th century, glassworks of the great forests near Toulouse, (a superb article illustrated p.165 and following),
