Cargaleiro Manuel (1927-2024)Great Portuguese painter, his work is varied, ceramics, painting, engraving, gouache, tapestry and drawing. He executed ceramic panels for the municipal garden of Almada, the facade of the church of Moscavide (1956), the facade of the Franco-Portuguese Institute of Lisbon (1983), the Champs-Elysée Clémenceau metro station in Paris (1995)... In 1990 he created the Manuel Cargaleiro Foundation in Lisbon to which he offered a vast collection of his works and a collection made up of objects of diverse themes
