Tuareg Knife - Central Sahara

Traditional Tuareg arm dagger, called Telek, dating from the early 20th century. The double-edged blade is forged from steel, with three thin longitudinal grooves on each side. The cross guard is typical of this type of weapon, covered with thin strips of copper and brass. The scabbard is made of hand-sewn brown leather, with an old patina, decorated with straps and equipped with its carrying band allowing the weapon to be attached to the arm.
