"Pair Of Large And Wide Carved Walnut Armchairs In The 19th Century Regency Style"

Pair of large, richly carved walnut armchairs in the Regency style.
Each seat rests on four arched legs, each ending in a volute with beautiful carvings on three sides as well as on the armrests.
The backs are flat and larger than standard.
The top of the back is shaped like a gendarme's hat and the entirety is covered in small dot tapestry and the reverse in cotton fabric.
The upholstery is firm and very comfortable. Some wear to the small dot tapestry with floral decoration (see photos).
