On a wooden panel is depicted Saint John the Baptist placing his right hand on the head of the lamb which prefigures the passion of Christ and holding in his left hand his cruciform staff. A red cloth barely covers his naked and not devoid of sensuality body. Its original gilded wooden frame, also dating from the beginning of the 17th century, follows the shape of the panel: A vertical elongated octagon. It is in very good condition. As for the painting, one could opt for cleaning, but one prefers not to touch it and to keep the patina of time and a certain mystery which emanates from it. Small hole to report on the right thigh, very good general condition
