"19th Century Carpet, Exceptional Provenance"
Important carpet composed of 24 squares embroidered on canvas and sewn together. Each square features a bouquet of naturalistic roses on a white background. The border has a turquoise background with similar bouquets presented in cartouches. This is a 19th-century work of art. Acquired and restored by Anne-Aymone and Valéry Giscard d'Estaing for the furnishings of 9-11 rue Bénouville, Paris.
