"Pair Of Small Watercolors Vietnam 1884"
Two small Vietnamese watercolors, probably painted after the French occupation of Vietnam. The two watercolors, executed in 1884-1885, depict a ruined village and a small village perched on a hill. The other depicts a scene of daily life, perhaps in the cells of French or Western soldiers. In the background, a tower flies the French flag. Signed for this unknown and more talented painter, the villas are Tuyan Quan and Hong Hoa (Tonkin).
