"Large Chandelier By Eugene Mottheau"
Important 17-light chandelier, chiseled bronze mount, rich decoration of plaques, drops, flowers, re-engraved olive garlands, bunches of grapes concealing a light bulb, in the center a superb luminous dagger. It is stamped on several bronze pieces EM for Eugène Mottheau. The Mottheau house was extremely renowned at the beginning of the 20th century for the quality of its electric lighting, and won the Grand Prix at the 1900 Universal Exhibition.
